WELCOME TO VFW 2121

PIONEER POST
As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group.  Our common bond is the battlefield, whether it is service in the Persian Gulf, Korea, Kosovo, the war on terrorism or peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace.

Pioneer Post 2121 totally supports the Post 2121 Auxiliary, we work together to insure this Post is an organization you will be honored  to be a member and your spouse can be a member of the Auxiliary if they do not meet the requirements of Post membership.

IN-COUNTRY

A satirical reflection by Author/Artist Phil Fehrenbacher

Phil enlisted in the Army in 1965 where he served for years in Vietnam.  He became a graphic designer and has worked for the state of Oregon for 26 years.  He retired in 2003 and started the Cartoon "In-Country".  The cartoons reflect his experiences during his tour of duty in South Vietnam.

There is a new cartoon everyday.

VFW Post 2121 Members,

First, the meal for tomorrow night,  It will be Open Faced Turkey Sandwich, mashed potatoes, gravy and berry jello.  Wife Linda and I worked all day on this one, better come and enjoy!

Tuesday night I presented awards to members of the "Northridge High School Marine Corps JROTC at the 2026 Awards Ceremony.  I didn't realize there were so many young Marine Cadets.  I think in the years ahead of us there will be many leaders coming out of these programs. I enjoyed doing the presenting!

The Queen of Hearts will be close to $5000 tomorrow night.  Selling tickets, 6 for $5. Don't come late as late comers will have to wait in the main hall.  Just so many ticket buyers and no seats to wait for the drawing.  Ticket sales starts at 4pm and cease at 6:25pm.  Drawing at 6:30pm.  Must be there to win!

For our members there are pickles and pull tabs.  All for fun and some nice peels available!

Sunday's Bingo attendance is growing.  In our Bingo all bets are paid out...the Post receives nothing....our income comes from the bar!  Bingo starts at 4:30pm.

Call for open pool and darts times...remember we open at 4pm each day unless there are special event requests.  Call Holly at 970-352-1028 for hall rentals and special requests.
